Terms

These terms cover purchases from Black Thread Society at blackthreadsocietycouk.co.uk. By placing an order you agree to them. They don't limit any rights you have under UK consumer law.

The contract

A product page is an invitation to order, not a binding offer. The contract starts when we email you to accept the order, or when a card payment is confirmed. If we can't fulfil something — it's out of stock, or the price was an obvious mistake — we'll tell you and refund anything already taken.

Price and payment

Prices are in pounds sterling and include any VAT that applies. Delivery is extra unless the order qualifies for free UK shipping. Until card payments are connected, an order placed on the site is a request: we email payment instructions and only dispatch after payment arrives.

Risk and title

Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Title stays with us until we've received payment in full.

Our liability

We're responsible for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care. We don't exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud, or for anything else that UK law won't let us exclude.

Law

English law applies, and the courts of England and Wales can hear disputes. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also use your local courts.
